Peoria, IL – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex early Monday morning, November 4, 2024, leaving one man dead.
As reported by WMBDradio.com, “[p]olice responded to reports of four males breaking into vehicles in the area of the [Apartments] on North Scrimshaw Drive at around 12:15 A.M. While en route, police learned of multiple gunshots fired in the same area.”
CentralIllinoisProud.com is reporting, “[w]hen [officers] arrived, they found the man with gunshot wounds…He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
According to PJstar.com, “[Peoria County Coroner] later identified the victim as 22-year-old Clay Megan of North Scrimshaw Drive in Peoria. Megan was shot in the neck and died instantly.”
The investigation is ongoing.
