Norfolk, VA – Gunfire rang out at a campus parking lot Wednesday night, February 26, 2025, claiming the life of two young men.
As reported by Norfolk.gov, “[o]n February 26th, around 9:40 p.m. Norfolk Police and…University Police responded to the 1400 block of W 49th Street for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.”
According to the report, “[b]oth men were taken to the hospital for treatment where they were later pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries.” Per the news story, “[t]he preliminary investigation determined that the shooting occurred in a parking lot…between parties who are not affiliated with the University.”
WAVY.com is reporting, “Norfolk Police identified the victims as Delanio Vick, 18, and Timothy Williams Jr., 20, both of Norfolk.”
