Sparks, NV – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex Saturday night, November 2, 2024, leaving one man dead.

As reported by MyNews4.com, “Sparks Police Department officers responded to the apartment complex located at 1000 El Rancho Dr. around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 for several shots heard and people screaming.”

KOLOtv.com is reporting, “[p]olice found a man who had been shot. They offered medical aid and an ambulance took him to the hospital where he died.”

According to the report, “[police] say 45-year-old Ervin Barton of Sparks was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Renown. The manner of death was a homicide. The cause was multiple gunshot wounds.”

The investigation is ongoing.
