New3LV.com reports that “the pedestrian, identified as Glenn Abbott of Las Vegas, was using a personal mobility device and was in an uncontrolled marked crosswalk when an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound on McLeod Drive failed to yield the right of way. The vehicle struck Abbott, pushing him across the intersection toward the northeast corner.”

According to the report, “Abbott was transported by ground ambulance to Sunrise Hospital, where he was [unable to survive his injuries] despite advanced medical intervention.”

8NewsNow.com is reporting, “North Las Vegas Police say a Dodge Ram truck, traveling westbound on Lake Mead, swerved out of the left travel lane. The pedestrian, who was standing on the center median, was struck when the vehicle jumped it after swerving.”

According to the report, “[m]edical personnel transported the pedestrian…to UMC Trauma, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”

A motor vehicle accident injured a pedestrian Sunday night, July 19, 2020.

As reported by Fox5Vegas.com, “[o]fficers responded about 9:19 p.m. on July 19 to Charleston Boulevard and Sky Vista Drive for a reported crash.”

According to the report, “two juveniles tried to run to the south side of Charleston when the 15-year-old girl was hit by an Audi traveling west on Charleston.”

The victim was taken to UMC Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
