Gunfire rang out at an Omaha, NE bar Friday night, Oct 17, 2023, leaving one teen dead.
As reported by WOWT.com, “Omaha Police reported finding Mauricio Chavez of Council Bluffs suffering from a gunshot wound when they responded at 11:15 p.m. Friday to a call at [a bar] located near 42nd and H streets.”
Omaha.com is reporting, “Chavez was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with lifesaving measures in progress, but he was declared dead at the hospital.”
According to the report, “[t]he teen’s mother…said she had gone to the bar to celebrate her sister’s birthday. She stepped outside to get in a car driven by her son and saw the shooting.”
