Lumberton, NC – A woman’s life was tragically lost at a box store Friday afternoon, December 20, 2024.
WRAL.com is reporting, “a 42-year-old woman was shot and killed at a [store] on the 5000 block of Fayetteville Road in Lumberton. Police officers told WRAL News they responded to the shots fired call around 3:45 p.m. When they and other agencies arrived, they found the woman, later identified as 42-year-old Brandy Nicole Olson, with a gunshot wound at the [a bank] inside the [store].”
WBTV.com is reporting, “[s]hortly after the shooting, police indicated that Olson was not the intended target, and that the shooters had been aiming for two people they knew who were also in line inside the store. The shooting suspects fled the scene immediately after.”
