Austin, TX – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex parking garage early Friday morning, December 13, 2024, leaving one teen dead.
As reported by CBSAustin.com, “Carlos Sotelo died Saturday morning at Saint David’s North Austin Medical Center after being shot in a parking garage at the Griffis apartments, located at 3210 Esperanza Crossing.”
KXAN.com is reporting, “[t]he investigation showed that Sotelo and other people were in a vehicle in the parking garage of the [apartments] located at 3210 Esperanza Crossing, when multiple suspects approached the victims and attempted to rob them at gunpoint.”
According to the report, “when the driver of the vehicle tried to drive away from the gunman, the suspects fired into the vehicle, hitting Sotelo. Sotelo was l[unable to surviver his injuries].”
