Kansas City, MO – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex Monday afternoon, December 9, 2024, leaving two people dead.
As reported by KCTV5.com, “Kansas City Police said that about 3:30 p.m. Monday, law enforcement responded to an apartment complex in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road.
Fox4KC.com is reporting, “[w]itnesses pointed them to a car in the parking lot where 19-year-old Deontae D. Marchbanks and 17-year-old Cierra Pennington were found. Investigators say Marchbanks was pronounced dead at the scene and Pennington later died after she was taken to a hospital.”
According to KCTV5.com, “[neighbors] said the apartment complex has been the hub for trouble for decades and that there’s been a lot of neglect in this area and now everyone is paying the price.”
