Wallingford, CT News – A man lost his life after a work related incident Friday afternoon, January 10, 2025.
WTNH.com is reporting, “[t]he incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at [an auto] dealership on South Orchard Street.”
According to the report, “[w]hen emergency crews arrived, police said medics used a Locas machine for chest compressions on the employee.”
CTinsider.com is reporting, “[p]olice said it appears that the employee used the forklift to remove a container from the truck. While traveling up the driveway of the dealership, they said, he exited the forklift to look at something and it began to roll back down the slanted driveway. Police said the man ran and attempted to stop the forklift with his hands and was trapped between the forklift and truck. They said he was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.”
