Nashville, MO –A motor vehicle accident involving two tractor trailers Friday morning, February 21, 2025, left two drivers dead.

As reported by KTTN.com, “[t]wo men died in a head-on collision Friday morning on Highway 43, approximately 12 miles southwest of Lamar.”

According to the report, “[t]he crash occurred at 10:17 a.m. when a 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer, traveling southbound, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2021 Freightliner box truck head-on. The Freightliner caught fire following the impact.”

According to the report, “[t]he vehicles collided head-on in the southbound lane. After impact, the pickup became fully engulfed in flames and the semi traveled off the road to the left and came to rest in the ditch upright.”

FourStatesHomepage.com is reporting, “[t]he Barton County coroner says Joshua Wright, 45, the driver of the…truck, and…the driver of the semi, both perished in the crash.”

The investigation is ongoing.
