A motor vehicle accident injured a pedestrian Monday night, July 6, 2020.
As reported by Fox5Vegas.com, “the crash happened at Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards around 10:45 p.m. July 6.”
According to the report, “a dark-colored Kia with three people was traveling west on Charleston when it went off the roadway, onto the sidewalk and hit a light pole. After hitting the pole, the Kia re-entered the roadway and hit a pedestrian crossing in a crosswalk at Charleston and Las Vegas Boulevard.”
8NewsNow.com is reporting, “[t]he driver of the Kia did not stop at the scene and continued traveling west. The unidentified driver then stopped and exited the car before fleeing on foot.”
The pedestrian was transported to the University Medical Center trauma unit in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
