FORT WAYNE, IN – Gunfire rang out at a beverage store Tuesday night, August 27, 2024, leaving one man dead.

As reported by 21AliveNews.com, “The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says they were called about a shooting around 10 p.m. Tuesday near E Lewis and Hanna Streets. When officers arrived, they say they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the [Beverage Store] on E Lewis Street. They say he was taken to an area hospital in life-threatening condition.”

According to the report, “[t]he Allen County Coroner’s Office said on Thursday that the man later died from his injuries at the hospital.”

WANE.com is reporting, “[t]he coroner identified the victim as Parker James Eugene Billman, 18, of Fort Wayne. His death was ruled a homicide.”
