Gunfire erupted early Thursday morning, March 2, 2023 at a Phoenix, AZ gas station leaving one man dead and one other injured.

As reported by AZcentral.com, “[j]ust before 2:30 a.m. at a [gas station] near McDowell Road and 48th Street, officers responded to a shooting and found two men with gunshot wounds.”

AZfamily.com is reporting, “[o]fficers arrived at the scene to find 27-year-old Kevin Turner, bleeding on the ground. A second victim was found with two gunshots, one to his left arm and another to his left leg.”

According to AZfamily.com, “[b]oth were taken to the hospital, where 27-year-old Kevin Turner died. The other man should survive.”

As reported by AZcentral.com, “[o]fficers responded to the area of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road for reports of a shooting around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.”

According to the report, “[a]t around the same time, officers were called to a hospital regarding a teenager with a gunshot wound…[t]he two calls were then linked and worked as one investigation.”
