Turon, KS –A motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer and a pick-up truck Saturday evening, February 15, 2025, left one man dead.
As reported by HaysPost.com, “[t]he Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Peterbilt semi…was northbound on Kansas 61 and a 2024 Ford F150 driven by Martin P. McLaughlin, 68, Romulus, Michigan, was southbound two miles east of Turon.”
According to the report, “[t]he vehicles collided head-on in the southbound lane. After impact, the pickup became fully engulfed in flames and the semi traveled off the road to the left and came to rest in the ditch upright.”
CBSnews.com is reporting, “Martin P. McLaughlin, 68, of Romulus, was [unable to survive his injuries].”
The investigation is ongoing.
