A shooting outside a Shell gas station reportedly claimed the life of 65-year-old Willie Dornes, Jr. Saturday afternoon, January 6, 2018.
According to News 4 JAX, officers discovered Mr. Dornes “in the parking lot of the Shell station about 2:30p.m.” It appears Mr. Dornes may have been the victim of “a robbery attempt.” Tragically, he succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Police have since made multiple arrests in connection with the shooting, per Florida Times-Union reports.
